Hi All, this is my blog.
I believe in the following things.
Short term dreams:
1) To be a extremely gd player for bridge in 2 yrs time
2) To make myself a better person, treat people around me nicer, make the world a better place
Long term dreams:
1) Making my first million by age 35
Quote:
if u were to improve ourselves by just 1% every day, over 1 year, you will have improved yourself by about 500%....wow...that is making yourself 5 times a better person than today...
Life is a short journey, treasure it and lead a happy one.

NDP is very near indeed
NDP is now onli 29 days away, it is only about 4 more weeks before we get to the real thing. This year NDP will be the last at the National Stadium, before it gets torn down to make way for a brand new complex. Come to think of it, I really do HATE NDP. Someway or another, i always seemed to get involved. Just pure pure bad luck.
I could remember about 6 years ago. At that time, i was studying in Cat High Sec and was a slakcer in NPCC. Maybe it was faith, or maybe it was jus pure bad luck, my school NPCC was chosen as one of the few schools which was chosen to participate in NDP as marching contingent. So there i was, participating in countless reheasals to prepare for the big day. I always thought those reheasals were stupid, until the actual day. The atmosphere was exciting and we marched past the President. Could really feel a sense of pride being part of Singapore. 6 months of hard work did indeed pay off.
After that, the next NDP, my school volunteered to take part in the mass performance for NDP. At that time, my school reputation was dropping drastically, i could remember that my school dropped out of top 20 to rank 28th in Singapore. The papers criticise my sch, the founders criticise my sch, the alumini criticise my school. Everyone seemed to say something bad, hoping to inspire us to do better next time round. I believed that it was jus a gimmick by our sch principal to raise the profile that she volunteered our sch. She made it compulsory and i participated against my will. We were forced to squeeze into tiny, body hunking, bright blue attire to perform for that day. From then on, i really HATED NDP. Forced to take part in trainings 3 times a week minimun for 6 months, without getting much reward, is it worth it??
This year, yet another NDP, but much slacker this time. I jus had to man the NDP hotline about once every 2 weeks, and it is jus 9-6pm job, so it isn't this tough. But, 3rd NDP involvement, jus bad luck. Looking from another prespective, it can be seen as contributing to the nation, many people wants to be part of the NDP but cant, and yet i am here in NDP wishing i am not part of it. How ironic. Time in army will soon pass and hopefully it will jus pass fast enuff.
